THE EFFECT OF STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP ON ORGANIZATIONAL IDENTIFICATION: A RESEARCH ON EL-MUSTANSIRIYA UNIVERSITY EMPLOYEES

The aim of this research is to reveal whether strategic leadership has an effect on organizational identification and its sub-dimensions. The universe of the research consists of academic and administrative staff working at Al-Mustansiriya University in Iraq. A total of 532 samples has been reached from 6486 employees who made up the universe. Questionnaire technique, one of the quantitative research methods, has been used as a data collection method in the research. Exploratory factor analysis, t test, Anova, correlation and regression analyzes were performed.As a consequence of the simple regression analysis, it has been determined that strategic leadership has a statistically significant and positive effect on organizational identification, perceived external prestige of the organization and cognitive, behavioral and emotional identification dimensions, which are sub-dimensions of organizational identification. Finally, as a result of the multiple regression analysis, it has been determined that the dimensions of political practices and communication skills, which are sub-dimensions of strategic leadership, have statistically significant and positive effects on organizational identification
