Abstract

The aim of this study is the application of levels of strategic management in the management of primary schools; to determine according to the perceptions of school administrators and teachers in the strategic planning commission. Field researches on the subject was carried out in schools within the scope. Research data were obtained by online survey method. Obtained data were analyzed with reliability, frequency, independent t test and Anova statistical test methods. The results show that the level of implementation of strategic management in schools varies according to the duties, gender, age and professional experience of the practitioners. They also demonstrate that the administrators perceive the planning, implementation and control variable higher than the teachers, and the women perceive the implementation variable higher than the men. Strategic management should be seen as a necessity rather than a necessity. Adding to this, stakeholder participation should be given importance especially at the planning stage. The process in the school should be supported by the provincial and district administration. A strategic management process should be implemented that aims to improve organizational performance and to ensure effective and efficient use of limited resources.
