Abstract

In this study, greenhouse enterprises operating in Sandıklı District of Afyonkarahisar Province, where geothermal energy has been used as a successful example in greenhouse cultivation with changes and innovations in recent years, were examined. There has been an increase in investments in geothermal greenhouse activities in recent years. Due to the geological structure of the region, it has advantages such as ease of delivery of products to customers and abundance of hot water resources. This study focuses on Porter's Diamond Model to ensure the competitive advantage and market status of greenhouse enterprises operating in the Sandıklı region. The purpose of this research is to systematically examine the greenhouse enterprises operating in Sandıklı District in terms of competition analysis. The data of the research was obtained through a survey applied to business owners, Managers, and engineers. Of the surveys distributed to all businesses, 38 valid surveys were evaluated. SPSS 25.0 program was used to evaluate the collected data. Individuals' responses to each item in the scales were examined with frequency distributions. As a result, it was determined that basic dimensions such as factor conditions, demand conditions, company strategy, role, and effectiveness of the state were high. Sectoral clustering was found to be at a medium-high level.
